Introduction

Non-cooperation movement was led by Mahatma Gandhi which was a remarkable part of the Indian Independence movement. It was started after the Jalianwala Bagh Massacre. To fight against British rule Gandhi asked local citizens not to buy any British goods and use self made goods. This was launched on 1 January 1921. Jalianwala Bagh Massacre, Rowlett Act, high prices of commodities are some of the several incidents shown that Britishers' were not giving fair treatment to Indians. Hence Gandhi launched this successful movement which almost shook the British government.
