Introduction

Tolstoy farm, the headquarters of Satyagraha campaign was started by Mahatma Gandhi in Transvaal, South Africa in 1910. This campaign was for Indians in Transvaal who were victims of racial discrimination. This farm was established to serve as training ground for prisoners, new members of the passive resistance movement and as a haven for their family members.
